Link and unlink a work item with your keyboard

You can link and unlink a work item using only your keyboard via the command palette.

To link a work item with the command palette:

  1. Make sure you’re viewing a work item either in the side bar or in full screen.

  2. Open the command palette.

    1. If you’re a Mac user, press command + K to open the command palette.

    2. If you’re a windows user, press Ctrl + K to open the command palette.

  3. Search for the command Link or unlink work items.

  4. Search for a relationship and select enter on your keyboard.

  5. Choose which work item you’d like to link this work item with and select enter on your keyboard.

To unlink a work item with the command palette:

  1. Make sure you’re viewing a work item either in the side bar or in full screen.

  2. Open the command palette.

    1. If you’re a Mac user, press command + K to open the command palette.

    2. If you’re a windows user, press Ctrl + K to open the command palette.

  3. Search for the command Link or unlink work items.

  4. Select one of the relationships from the top of the dropdown menu.

  5. Deselect the checkbox to unlink the work item.
