Add identity providers to connect portal-only customers

You can connect one identity provider and configure single sign-on and/or provisioning for your customers (Jira Service Management) when you subscribe to Atlassian Guard Standard.

Admins can use identity providers to manage digital user identities, provide authentication services, and provision customers to access help centers and associated portals, and submit help requests to your Jira Service Management projects. Learn more about Jira Service Management customers

When admins connect an identity provider with Jira Service Management, they’re able to:

  • manage identity provider directories

  • provision and sync customers (SCIM)

  • authenticate customers with single sign-on (SAML SSO)

This allows admins the flexibility to automate customer management and implement security controls in their Atlassian organization.

Connecting an identity provider give admins the flexibility to manage complex business, regulatory, or security requirements. How many you can connect depends on your plan:

  • An Atlassian Guard Standard subscription allows you to connect one identity provider with Jira Service Management.
